This is an article with the claim of an authentic New Testament understanding of neighbor, or more precisely, the definition of Jesus Christ. Its reflection will enable us to look critically at the total understanding of neighbor in the prism of humanism and to turn our gaze to its redefinition in personhood. I have received Peter Singer's thanks in a letter for clarifying this question, which is a great honor. at this point I think Peter Singer himself is the greatest Neighbor of our time. Also below is a small commentary by a very well-known church leader and thinker, Cyril hovorun. he writes that "this text is a fresh reading of the parable of the Samaritan, ....... It is an application of Habermas's ideas of personalism and communicative action to gospel stories. The approach in itself is remarkable, but it does not exclude other, more traditional interpretations." I hope this sketch will spark a great debate and that we will take another small step toward a deeper understanding of one another and toward committed love.
